In October 2004 I co-sponsored an article to Town Meeting that would establish a clear, fair and thorough process for creating a Housing Plan and Policy for the Town of Framingham.

This process resulted in the formation of a Housing Liaison Committee comprised of 2 members of the Planning Board and 2 Selectman. This Committee worked with a professional consultant on Housing, several members of the Planning Department and a committee of citizens representing various aspects of  the Town - called the Citizens Advisory Committee.

I was appointed to this committee as a representative of Town Meeting. The success of this effort can be measured in the product produced and the overwhelming support it received form Town Meeting and all our Town Boards.

Chapter 8 of the 2007 Housing Plan includes a new Housing Policy seen below:
