Reports, data and other information regarding the working groups is available by clicking the associated buttons on the left hand column. We have created an Action Plan for the PILOT/IMPACT study . This Plan is the result of each members' questions and concerns and represent many points of view. This will enable our committee to thoroughly research the tasks we have been commissioned to do. The individual work groups will use this Plan to create a comprehensive list of questions that they will ask of the appropriate persons, research and attempt to answer. Here is a link to learn about the Open Meeting Law's of Massachusetts Definition of Social Service Agency The group's current working definition of Social Service is based on the federal definition of a social service entity and the Ma. State Department of Human and Social Service’s purchasing department’s State definition of Human and Social Services , where contractor is defined as an individual or organization whose funds come from either government or private funds, as provided in documents that have been submitted to this committee. Furthermore, it is understood that our concern is with the impact of contractors (individual or organizations) who are service providers and non-profit and in addition are also not-for-profit. Dawn Harkness found information detailing the use of the terms non-profit and not-for-profit. While not-for-profit was often used to describe an activity and non-profit a corporation, there appeared to be no true distinction. Misc.
